Carson City Boxing Club began in 1999 when Francisco Peralta and Evertt "Chucko" Williams opened its doors at the old National Guard. Carson City Boxing Club has been in the community for 22 years. Frank Peralta started training his son, Michael Peralta when he was nine years old. Michael then became a professional boxing fighter at the age of 24. Together they have trained multiple professional boxing fighters.
In 2018, Michael Peralta checked himself into Calvary Ranch in California. He had let drugs take control over his life and was losing himself to that addiction. He found Jesus there and how to live a life of sobriety. From that time to current, Michael and Frank have dedicated their lives to provide a safe and healthy alternative for adolescents and adults from a life of drugs and crime for them to come to learn the art of boxing and get fit. People from the age of six to eighty are welcome to train/workout, learn discipline and respect. The gym is now God’s Gym and that is the reason it is still open.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
